micrOcean is a non-profit organization founded to call on the community to limit the use of clothing from fast fashion brands that are harmful to the environment. Most fast fashion product materials sheds microplastics. It is the main cause of marine environmental pollution, causing harm to aquatic life, water pollution and human health.

Microplastics reducing food intake, delaying growth, causing oxidative damage and abnormal behavior in aquatic life.

Microplastics can enter the body through ihalation and ingestion. Microplastics have been found in human stools, suggesting particles may be wide spread in the human food chain.

Fast fashion pollutes waters
Microplastics are ubiquitous in the environment and have been detected in a broad range of concentrations in marine water, wastewater, fresh water, food, air and drinking-water, both bottled and tap water.
